Favicon is also called favorites icon, page icon and url icon. If you now see your browser’s URL bar, you should be able to see a green icon with a “M” (yes, it stands for Mommy Business Club). That little icon is the Favicon.  I just made this tonight for Free. May be the quality of my image is not good enough, so the “M” is not as sharp as I expected.

Browsers that support favicons usually display them in the URL bar, next to the site’s name of your bookmark list, and next to the page’s title in a tabbed document interface.

There are many websites offer free Favicon generator. I saw one website charges $75 to design one! Six Revisions has a list of free Favicon generators, which saves your time to research. So, have fun with making your own Favicon.
