Having Fun with Favicon

Published by Busy Mom at 9:39 pm under Freebies, Website Design

What is Favicon? Favicon is also called favorites icon, page icon and url icon. If you now see your browser’s URL bar, you should be able to see a green icon with a “M” (yes, it stands for Mommy Business Club). That little icon is the Favicon.  I just made this tonight for Free. May be the quality of my image is not good enough, so the “M” is not as sharp as I expected.

Browsers that support favicons usually display them in the URL bar, next to the site’s name of your bookmark list, and next to the page’s title in a tabbed document interface.

There are many websites offer free Favicon generator. I saw one website charges $75 to design one! Six Revisions has a list of free Favicon generators, which saves your time to research. So, have fun with making your own Favicon.
